The Yosemite Lakes Park Lifestyle

The Yosemite Lakes Park lifestyle is more than simply living in a home in the Sierra foothills north of Fresno and south of Yosemite National Park, it’s about being part of a community with “country-club amenities” nearby.

Yosemite Lakes Park (YLP) is a subdivision that is effectively a small city. It has a homeowner’s association — the Yosemite Lakes Owners’ Association — with a board of directors responsible for maintaining existing amenities and common areas, enforcing rules, and the financial and operational management of YLP.

YLP Amenities

YLP amenities that homeowners and their families and guests enjoy include:

The Blue Heron RestaurantThe Blue Heron Restaurant is open to the public 5-9pm Wednesday through Saturday with a full menu of appetizers, specialty salads, pasta, beef, chicken, pork, seafood, wine, and special options for kids under 10 that include a scoop of ice cream. Sunday hours are 4-8pm with a limited menu. The Blue Heron also is available for weddings and other catered events.

Fairway Café — The Fairway Café is open 7am-2pm seven days a week, serving a variety of omelets and other breakfast classics as well as burgers, sandwiches, salads, wraps, and other lunch favorites.

Golf Course — The YLP golf course is a 9-hole course with small greens, tight fairways, and five holes over water. There is a Men’s Club and a Ladies’ Club that play regularly. The course is open 7am-6pm seven days a week, weather permitting, and golf carts are available for rent at the Pro Shop.

Swimming Pool and Tennis Courts — YLP residents also have access to the community pool, hot tub, and tennis courts. The pool offers designated times for lap/therapeutic swim, open swim, and water aerobics. And there are two fenced tennis courts adjacent to the pool.

Equestrian Center — The YLP Equestrian Center is a co-op horse boarding facility with two lighted riding arenas, a round pen, and access to several miles of trails.

Trails and Recreation — There also are miles of maintained trails and a community rec center for YLP residents to use. The marked and cleared trails are used for walking, running, and horseback riding. And the rec center includes a playground and picnic area with tables and barbecue grill in addition to a lighted baseball field, basketball court, and horseshoe pits.

YLP residents are under the protection of Madera County Fire Station 10 as well as Yosemite Lakes Park Private Security and the Madera County Sheriff’s Department.
